CTPA Board Meeting Highlights
March 22, 2008
Woodburn, OR
Just a quick summary of some of the items that were covered at the meeting:
1. Board voted not to affiliate with NTPC. NTPC is now charging $50 a show to do so. Under the rules for NTPC, page 19, "Affiliate penning and sorting producers must follow NTPC Rules and use the Ratings provided by NTPC." Board felt there was not enough members to justify continuing with either affiliation. CTPA, at this time, is not affiliating with NRS or NTPC. If there are member(s) interested in being tracked by them it will cost the individual member(s) $50.00 at each event per their contract. If you are interested in being tracked please contact Donna and advise which CTPA sponsored events you would like to be tracked at and send in the appropriate monies for each event. If there is more than one member the cost will be divided among them. Promoters will no longer be under CTPA "umbrella" regarding NRS and NTPC affiliations as they are with USTPA
2. Board voted not to affiliate with NRS because, again, they changed their contract to require us to pay $50 an event for affiliation. Not enough members to justify it.
3. Board voted to revamp the schedule for the remainder of the season as follows:
April 19-20 - 2 day penning at Brasada, CTPA sponsored - qualifier
May 3-4 2 day sorting at Lonestar, CTPA sponsored - qualifier

4. Masters sorting class changed to pick and draw.
5. All CTPA call-ins will be two weeks prior to event and call in dates will be posted on the web site.
6. All CTPA-sponsored penning events, aside from April, will have $3,000 added money to be dispersed as follows;
